Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join a growing finance team within a fast-paced medical technology environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information while supporting business decision-making across multiple functions.
You will work closely with the Finance Director and collaborate with teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service. The role offers exposure to both UK operations and Ireland-based activities supported via a third-party distributor.

Key Responsibilities- Act as a key contributor to monthly financial close processes (Working Day +1).
- Prepare, review, and post accounting journals.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support and oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities, ensuring accurate and timely transaction recording.
- Support the Finance Director with monthly financial forecasts.
- Prepare and maintain weekly cashflow forecasts.
- Prepare VAT reporting for UK and Ireland entities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, including documentation and explanations.
- Support implementation and ongoing adherence to SOX controls (business unit recently brought into scope).
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis to support commercial decision-making.
- Partner with the commercial team to enhance sales reporting and performance insights, including development and use of Power BI tools.
- Support incentive and bonus scheme reporting and analysis.
- Work closely with the Finance Director, Accounts Payable, and Credit Control teams to meet departmental goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
- Proven experience in financial accounting roles.
- Experience working in a SOX-compliant environment is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is an advantage.
