Work with the Head of Financial Accounting and other members of the financial service in ensuring all financial accounting processes are completed accurately and within the deadlines set out in the Finance Systems Timetable.

Responsibility for the interfacing of financial information from external systems to the financial ledger, enabling monthly cost center reports to be produced by Financial Management. Responsible for the reconciliation of highly complex balance sheet control accounts within specific deadlines.

Support the Head of Financial Accounting and other members of the financial service in providing advice on all aspects of Financial Accounting. Work within fixed deadlines to enable monthly/annual returns to be completed on time. Contribute to the Trust's Monthly and Year End reporting processes, working autonomously and with minimal supervision. Ensure that the Trust's financial controls and maintained and reviewed regularly.

• AAT qualified (or equivalent)/part-qualified CCAB or Part-Qualified AAT (or equivalent) significant relevant experience

• Extensive experience of working in an administrative and financial office environment, including the use of financial accounting software packages
• Experience of using dedicated financial system reporting tools

• Understanding of International Financial Reporting standards applicable to areas of statutory financial reporting by NHS Organisations
• Working knowledge of the NHS financial regime
