An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Financial Performance to join the Finance Team at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust.
The Head of Financial Performance will support the Trust by driving two key work streams – the delivery of the Cost Improvement Programme (CIP) and leading on strategic initiatives across the Group, including its trading subsidiary Healthcare Partners Limited. It is a hybrid role with work across RSFT sites and from home. The role offers access to training and development opportunities and operates on a flexible work pattern.
Responsibilities- Drive the delivery of the Cost Improvement Plan (CIP) and monitor its progress.
- Lead financial governance of the Trust’s trading subsidiary, HPL.
- Work closely with senior finance, operational and corporate colleagues across the Trust, the subsidiary and the Trust Group to ensure robust financial performance, effective decision making and compliance with NHS financial frameworks.
- Provide senior representation of the Finance Directorate, offering authoritative advice on financial performance, accounting treatment, business cases, investment decisions and the financial implications of strategic initiatives.
- Influence senior stakeholders, drive improvements in financial processes, reporting and governance, and offer leadership and expert advice to colleagues across finance, operations and the subsidiary.
- Highly skilled finance professional with experience analysing complex financial information.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive improvements in financial processes, reporting and governance.
- Experience working in a large organization with a trading subsidiary is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills – able to provide direction to teams without direct line management responsibility.
