Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the purchase ledger, including supplier reconciliations, creditor management and BACS processing.
· Process supplier payments through BACS and bank transfers.
· Check invoices and expense claims for correct coding, authorisation and posting.
· Maintain both electronic and paper filing systems, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
· Support Regional Treasurers by providing guidance on accounting software, financial record keeping and expenditure processing.
· Assist with the preparation, monitoring and distribution of budgets and quarterly financial reports.
· Administer company credit cards, including setting up new accounts, monitoring transactions, reconciling statements and posting expenditure to the ledger.
· Complete regular bank reconciliations, including internal transfers and banking transactions.
· Prepare finance-related correspondence and obtain the necessary approvals before distribution.
· Assist the Head of Finance with cash flow reporting and financial analysis.
· Produce management information and ad hoc financial reports when required.
· Maintain the cloud-based expenses system and assist with payroll administration updates.
· Provide support across the wider finance team during periods of absence or increased workload. About You To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
· At least two years' experience within a finance or accounts environment.
· Experience using accounting software packages.
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel at an intermediate level, along with Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
· Experience using office databases and financial systems. Working knowledge of office databases.
