Paraplanner – Guildford | Up to £55,000

An established and highly regarded independent financial planning firm in Guildford is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing team. Known for its client-first approach, the firm is built on long-term relationships, integrity, and delivering high-quality financial advice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner who enjoys research, analysis, and report writing, and wants to play a key role in delivering positive client outcomes within a collaborative and professional environment.

The Role
Working alongside a team of Financial Advisers, you'll provide comprehensive paraplanning support across a wide range of financial planning areas, including pensions, investments, retirement planning, inheritance tax planning, and protection.
You'll have access to modern financial planning software, established processes, and dedicated administrative support, allowing you to focus on technical research, analysis, and preparing high-quality advice documentation. The role offers exposure to complex planning cases and opportunities to further develop your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct technical research and analyse financial planning solutions.

* Prepare suitability reports, recommendation letters, and supporting documentation.

* Support advisers in developing tailored financial planning strategies.

* Analyse pensions, investments, and protection arrangements.

* Carry out cashflow modelling and retirement planning analysis.

* Ensure recommendations are fully researched, compliant, and well documented.

* Liaise with advisers, providers, and administrators to progress cases efficiently.

* Maintain accurate client records in line with FCA and regulatory requirements.

* Keep up to date with legislative, tax, and technical changes.

* Contribute to maintaining and improving paraplanning processes and standards.

About You

* Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level
4) qualified, or actively working towards completion.

* Previous experience as a Paraplanner within a financial planning firm.

* Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, retirement planning, and protection.

* Experience producing suitability reports and conducting product research.

* Excellent analytical, report-writing, and organisational skills.

* Good understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.

* Highly accurate with strong attention to detail and a client-focused, professional approach.
