As Technician – Molecular Assay Development, you will play a key role in supporting the molecular assay development team through hands‑on laboratory work and day‑to‑day operational activities. This is a bench‑based position where accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail are critical.

You’ll support assay development and validation activities while gaining exposure to regulated workflows, clinical sample handling, and diagnostic instrumentation.

• Receiving, processing, and tracking clinical samples, including blood handling and centrifugation.
• Accurate data entry and sample tracking within a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Performing routine molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and digital PCR.

• A degree in Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in a molecular biology laboratory role (industry, clinical, or research).
• Willingness to learn Phlebotomy.

• Location: Guildford (on-site, office hours)
• Permanent right to work in the UK is required.
