We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist with inpatient experience to join one of the leading NHS Trusts in South East England . This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior role and make a significant impact on patient care within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage a caseload of inpatient clients, delivering advanced occupational therapy interventions tailored to their complex needs.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functions to formulate comprehensive therapy plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of patient-centred care.
  • Provide leadership and support to junior therapists and therapy assistants, guiding their development through supervision, mentorship, and training.
  • Lead and participate in service improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of inpatient occupational therapy services.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to promote recovery and facilitate timely discharge from hospital settings.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in accordance with NHS standards to ensure continuity of care and legal compliance.
Required Skills and Experience
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Extensive experience working as a Band 7 Occupational Therapist with proven expertise in inpatient settings .
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to guide and develop a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in conducting detailed assessments and managing a diverse caseload with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise clinical judgment, and contribute to service development initiatives.
