• Provide holistic, woman/birthing-person and baby-centered midwifery care. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period (and neonatal care when required).
• Support normal physiological birth whenever possible, while recognizing and appropriately managing complex or high-risk pregnancies and births.
• Provide parenting education, advice, and support to new parents (such as feeding, bathing, newborn care, and health education).
• Act as advocate for women/birthing people and babies, ensuring dignity, confidentiality, respect, and non-judgmental care.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient/mother-and-baby records per policy and regulatory standards (e.g. Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code).

• Registered Midwife with valid NMC registration. Evidence of post-registration experience and competence (often after completing preceptorship).
