Overview
InHealth is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our breast screening team at the Jarvis Breast Centre, Surrey. This part‑time role (22.5 h per week) offers a chance to make a real difference in women's health by supporting patients throughout the breast screening and assessment journey.
Role SummaryIn this role, you will provide professional, empathetic care in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, working alongside experienced clinicians to support patients at all stages of breast assessment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clinicians before, during, and after breast screening procedures, ensuring dignity and privacy.
- Provide reassurance, guidance, and post‑procedure support to patients.
- Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and keep accurate records.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment in line with health and safety policies.
- Act as a patient advocate and support patients in distress with sensitivity.
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Empathetic and professional approach to patient care.
- Basic IT skills and understanding of data protection.
- Interest in women's health.
- Knowledge of the NHS Breast Screening Programme.
- NVQ qualification or willingness to undertake.
- Understanding of health promotion.

Location: Jarvis Breast Centre, Surrey
Contract: 22.5 h per week (Mon, Tue, Wed/Thu)
Salary: £23,000–£25,000 pro rata
