Scrub Practitioner / Theatre Practitioner (ODP) – Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital – Nursing – Permanent – Full Time – Includes weekend work – Competitive Salary – 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job
  • Work in a multi disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload.
  • Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities.
  • Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team.
  • Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based.
  • Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training.

About us

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital provides high-quality healthcare working with leading consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and complex surgery. Our care is matron led and we have received a "good" rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The hospital has 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, a JAG accredited endoscopy suite and oncology units.

It shares facilities with an NHS Trust hospital. The working atmosphere is highly professional and collaborative. The hospital is located about 1.5 mi from Guildford town centre.

Qualifications
  • Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC).
  • Brings the qualifications and experience relevant to the registration.
Experience
  • Post‑registration experience in scrub roles within a theatre environment.
  • A team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.
