We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, committed and hardworking person to join our surgical ward Reception team. This environment will provide successful candidates with opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge on our busy surgical wards. Motivated candidates will be supported to work with the clinical teams providing administrative support to the medical staff.
Main duties will be to answer the telephone and carry out general reception duties.
This is a Substantive position offering afternoon shifts working on Day Surgery Unit (DSU). 15 hrs a week. To provide high quality reception services for the Trust, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and Customer Care, act as a first point of contact to patients, relatives or other members of the public.
The post holder is expected to organise their workload in accordance with the demands of the Department, coordinate their activities to ensure efficiency of service within the organisation, exercise initiative and maintain confidentiality at all times, cover other receptionists duties when applicable due to staff shortage/sickness/annual leave.
Qualifications- Excellent communication skills – friendly, professional and approachable.
- Strong IT skills – comfortable using computers and administrative systems.
- Hardworking and proactive attitude – willing to support the team and help others.
- Flexibility – able to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
