Senior Oncology Staff Nurse

Salary up to £45,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Senior Oncology Staff Nurse, you’ll be attentive, driven, detail‑oriented and empathetic. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post‑registration experience, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

• Have experience in Oncology and have a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent)
• Be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
• Be a valued addition to the team in our consultant and nurse‑led service
• Work with patients receiving chemotherapy or new treatments, such as immunotherapy
• Fully assess each patient’s needs, providing tailored treatment plans and care
• Administer systemic anti‑cancer therapies (SACT)
• Assist consultants during clinics
• Provide care for Acute Oncological emergencies
• Collaborate with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT Team)

Our facilities include 49 en‑suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We’ve been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit.

The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and we are located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre.
