Theatre Practitioner - OPERATING DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONER - SCRUB (RGN / ODP) – Guildford Hospital | Theatre | Permanent | Full Time | Includes weekend work | Competitive salary depending on experience | 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

Work in a multi-disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload, use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities, supervise, support and develop junior members of the team, provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting, create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based, and have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training.

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital provides high-quality healthcare working with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. Our care is matron led and we are proud to have received a  good  rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Our facilities include 49 en‑suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, JAG accredited endoscopy suite and oncology units. We’ve been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre.

Specification Qualifications
  • Registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC.
Experience
  • Post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment.
