We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Control Manager to join our Radiopharmacy team at the Guildford RPU.

If you are an experienced QC Manager/Supervisor with a proven track record in leading a successful team then this may be the opportunity you are looking for.

The QC Manager will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the QC dept. This will include line management of the QC team, validation and method development and ensuring compliance with GMP.

The QC dept undertake analytical testing of radiopharmaceuticals using a wide range of techniques including HPLC, GC, rTLC. Prior experience within the QC environment radiopharmaceutical setting is desirable. Extensive experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Quality Management Systems is essential. Full training will be provided for suitable candidates with limited experience in radiopharmacy and will cover radiation safety in detail.

Hours of work for the roles are 40 hours per week Monday-Sunday.

We are inviting applications from experienced QC Managers and QC Supervisors. To be considered for the role you must hold a BSc/MSc in a related scientific discipline and have significant leadership experience.

To be a successful applicant you will need:

  • Degree or higher in relevant scientific area.
  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience with a demonstrable track record of strong performance in Quality Control.

Previous experience in the following would be beneficial:

  • A strong background in the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Experience of Quality Control in a radiopharmaceutical setting is desirable.

And the ability to demonstrate the following:

  • Experienced in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • First class written and communication skills
  • Understanding of PrOFS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; personable.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Good timekeeping.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Able to work on own; proactive including both defining and executing tasks.
  • Leads by example.
  • Good regulatory knowledge (GMP, Safety)
