Role Description

As Senior Project Manager in Central Functions, you'll work collaboratively with other change professionals to realise business benefits through delivery of strategic projects in our portfolio, covering Finance, Legal, Risk etc. This role will initially be focused on supporting a major Transformation Programme within the Finance Portfolio;
Simpli Fi UK.

In this role you will work within a team of change experts as a trusted partner, driving our business towards achieving our strategic objectives. You will lead the project team, role modelling our values, while partnering with your sponsors, Tribe leads and senior stakeholders

The Simpli Fi UK Programme is structured around delivering two work streams, Accounting Harmonisation (moving accounting processes to SAPR3) and Data /Reporting (focused on using ADP). This role will leading delivery in one of the key components within these work streams, here you will work closely with several SMEs across Finance, Data, IT and Architecture. This role will also require collaboration with colleagues across the programme in the UK.

You'll have an agile mind-set and ensure delivery is value and outcome based and aligned to the programme vision. You'll be passionate about change and want to make a difference.

Salary Information

Pay:
Circa £70,000

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

Key Accountabilities
  • End-to-end delivery of multiple complex change projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Defining and managing project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource needs using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Engaging internal and external stakeholders, including managing third-party relationships and commercial terms.
  • Driving urgency, pace, and clarity while maintaining strong communication and engagement across all stakeholder groups.
  • Monitoring project benefits and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives throughout the lifecycle.
  • Managing risks, issues, dependencies, and operational impacts to ensure minimal disruption to business-as-usual.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting project closure, and contributing to continuous improvement in delivery practices
Skills & Experience
  • Experience with in project and change delivery, having delivered a variety of projects of different types and sizes using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of change management and implementing people, process and systems change
  • Forward thinking, with experience in planning and forecasting and the ability to understand and manage risk proactively
  • Demonstrative experience of problem solving and removing impediments
  • Excellent communication skills, coupled with exemplary stakeholder management, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • A growth mind-set with process improvement ability, focused on continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage a budget including forecasting and estimating
  • Experience managing suppliers
  • Understanding of IT systems development lifecycle
  • Project, Agile or Change management qualifications would be an advantage but not essential
  • Experience with in Insurance/Financial services would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of working within a Finance Portfolio, knowledge of finance systems and process would be desirable
  • Knowledge of ERP systems e.g. SAP would also be desirable
  • Leadership, coaching & mentoring experience
