Pay: £30,000 (Gross) plus a shift allowance of £14,000 per year (paid £1,166.67 per month before tax and deductions)

Job Overview

Our client is hiring for a friendly and professional System Service Representative to join their Customer Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical support skills across a variety of multi‑vendor hardware platforms, including servers, storage, network equipment, and more.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Providing hardware installation and break‑fix support for diverse IT equipment in client environments.
  • Assisting senior engineers with technical support activities across products like hand‑held devices, laptops, servers, and network gear.
  • Developing broad technical expertise in Data Centre hardware, including servers, power supplies, and storage solutions.
  • Working within a shift pattern that covers 24/7 maintenance, including late shifts and weekends, supporting clients effectively.
  • Following manual handling practices and using hand tools and test equipment to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Maintaining security awareness and working independently to meet service level targets.
  • Communicating clearly with clients and team members, upholding the brand’s professional image.
What You’ll Bring
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle hardware safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a creative approach to troubleshooting.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and shifts, with full support from the team.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the designated regions.
  • Good IT knowledge and the ability to work independently while being supported remotely.
  • Excellent communication skills suited to engaging with different audiences.
  • Security clearance may be required.
Preferred Skills
  • Troubleshooting expertise with proven resolution delivery.
  • Client‑facing experience.
  • Experience working on multi‑vendor products or Cisco network equipment (advantageous but not essential).
