Our client is hiring for a friendly and professional System Service Representative to join their Customer Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical support skills across a variety of multi‑vendor hardware platforms, including servers, storage, network equipment, and more.
Responsibilities and Duties- Providing hardware installation and break‑fix support for diverse IT equipment in client environments.
- Assisting senior engineers with technical support activities across products like hand‑held devices, laptops, servers, and network gear.
- Developing broad technical expertise in Data Centre hardware, including servers, power supplies, and storage solutions.
- Working within a shift pattern that covers 24/7 maintenance, including late shifts and weekends, supporting clients effectively.
- Following manual handling practices and using hand tools and test equipment to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Maintaining security awareness and working independently to meet service level targets.
- Communicating clearly with clients and team members, upholding the brand’s professional image.
- Manual dexterity and ability to handle hardware safely and effectively.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a creative approach to troubleshooting.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and shifts, with full support from the team.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the designated regions.
- Good IT knowledge and the ability to work independently while being supported remotely.
- Excellent communication skills suited to engaging with different audiences.
- Security clearance may be required.
- Troubleshooting expertise with proven resolution delivery.
- Client‑facing experience.
- Experience working on multi‑vendor products or Cisco network equipment (advantageous but not essential).
- Full training to build your technical support capabilities.
