Job SummaryIn this interesting role you will facilitate the effective and timely progression of prosecution files from charging decision to trial by working effectively with internal and external stakeholders (including the Crown Prosecution Service), reviewing file quality to ensure case material and further work meet the National File Standard and compliance with law, policy and guidance.
Responsibilities- Facilitate the effective and timely progression of prosecution files from charging decision to trial.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, including the Crown Prosecution Service.
- Review file quality to ensure case material meets the National File Standard.
- Ensure compliance with law, policy and guidance.
- Good standard of education or equivalent experience.
- Recent experience in an administrative role within a customer service environment, including use of databases.
- Ability to use own initiative and problem‑solve within a team environment.
- Strong time‑management and organisational skills to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, producing accurate work.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills with proven interpersonal skills.
If you are a permanent member of staff applying for this role, please note it will be offered on a secondment basis. All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed‑term contract basis, which may affect continuous service protections.
Shift allowance, on‑call or other job‑related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
