A mid‑sized, employee‑owned firm is carving out a dedicated commercial property focus in Guildford, and the timing matters.

Until now, much of the property team has straddled residential and commercial work. As the commercial side has grown, institutional clients, high‑street names, corporate support and development matters, they need someone who can own the commercial property offering and give it proper depth.

You would be that person. This is a senior role with strong autonomy, client ownership and the chance to shape how the practice operates.

You will handle the full range of commercial real estate: acquisitions and disposals, portfolio management, landlord and tenant, development and property support to corporate deals.

The client base includes banks, building societies, major retail and hospitality brands, SMEs and entrepreneurial businesses. The firm acts as sole or main adviser to several UK listed and household‑name clients, so the quality of work is there.

The culture is pragmatic and solutions‑focused. The expectation is that you anticipate issues, negotiate cleanly and get deals done rather than create obstacles.

You will work closely with the firm's corporate, commercial and disputes teams, with cross‑office collaboration when matters require it.

You will have real ownership at 8+ PQE. This is not a role where you are one of several senior associates managing a narrow slice of work, you are being brought in to lead the commercial property offering in Guildford and build client relationships.
