Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Rural Estates Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our thriving land‑based estate at Merrist Wood College. This is an exciting opportunity to combine practical estate management with leadership, coaching and the delivery of outstanding industry‑focused learning experiences.

Working across our extensive estate, you will lead a dedicated team, oversee estate operations and play a crucial role in ensuring our learning environments are safe, compliant, well‑maintained and reflective of current industry standards. You will work closely with the Rural Estates Manager, Nursery Supervisor and Curriculum Management Team to ensure the estate supports high‑quality teaching, practical skills development and meaningful work‑ready experiences for students.

As Rural Estates Supervisor, you will provide operational leadership across the estate while helping to create a dynamic environment where students can develop the technical skills, confidence and professional behaviours needed for successful careers in the land‑based sector. This is a hands‑on leadership role, requiring a balance of practical expertise, team management, planning and collaboration with curriculum teams.

This is a permanent, full‑time role working 37 hours per week based at our Merrist Wood College campus.

  • A commitment to delivering outstanding learning and development opportunities for students.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, environmental legislation and industry best practice.
