An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced operational leader to join the Surrey Bowel Cancer Screening Centre as our Bowel Cancer Screening Programme Manager
.

Working closely with the Clinical Director and partners across Surrey, West Sussex and North Hampshire, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for a high-performing regional screening programme, ensuring delivery of national standards, performance targets and high-quality patient care.

You will lead service development, workforce management, quality improvement, financial oversight and stakeholder engagement across multiple organisations, helping to shape the future of bowel cancer screening services and improve outcomes for patients.

We are seeking a dynamic leader with significant NHS management experience, strong partnership-working skills, and a track record of delivering service improvement, performance management and change programmes. Knowledge of screening services and clinical governance would be advantageous.

· The Bowel Cancer Screening Manager is responsible with the Clinical Director for the effective strategic and operational management of the Screening Programme across Surrey, West Sussex and North Hampshire ensuring the delivery of high quality patient services within the resources available.

· The post-holder is responsible for the management of staff employed within the screening programme based at the host site, Royal Surrey County NHS Trust Hospital.

All staff have honorary contracts to work on associate sites, Frimley Park Hospital, East Surrey Hospital, & St Peters Hospital. The management of those staff and key relationships on external sites is integral to the role and underpinned by robust SLAs.

· The Manager will provide leadership and direction to the service, taking the lead with the Clinical Director for developing the strategy for the screening centre in line with the requirements of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. This will include playing a key role in identifying opportunities for clinical innovation and modernisation, the delivery of all nationally set operational and clinical performance targets, waiting list and financial management,.

The Manager is responsible for continually improving the quality of services to patients and redesigning services to meet best practice standards and improving efficiency and effectiveness within available resources.
