An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and inspirational nursing leader to join Adult Community Services as our Associate Director of Nursing on a 16-month fixed-term maternity leave cover contract. This is a pivotal senior leadership role providing professional, clinical and operational nursing leadership across a diverse portfolio of community services, while supporting and influencing the development of our wider multi-disciplinary workforce.
Working as part of the divisional triumvirate alongside operational and medical leaders, you will drive quality, patient safety, workforce transformation and service improvement while ensuring the delivery of outstanding care for the communities we serve.
The Associate Director of Nursing (ADN) works as part of a Divisional Triumvirate in partnership with the Associate Director of Operations (ADO) and the Chief of Service (CoS) within the Division of Adult Community Health Services. The ADN has a key role in ensuring that the Division effectively and safely delivers the clinical services for which it is responsible.
The ADN is specifically accountable for the delivery and performance of the AHP, nursing and professional staffing services provided within the Division. This includes implementation of the Allied Health Professionals strategy and the Trust Nursing and Midwifery strategy and ensuring that standards of care and treatment meet the registration requirements of regulators (including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and the achievement of set and agreed standards and financial targets.
As part of the Divisional leadership team (CoS, ADO and ADN) the ADN will provide strong, visible, clinical and professional leadership across the Division.
