Assembly Technician

Overview

We are seeking a number of Assembly Technicians to join a fast-growing engineering and manufacturing customer of ours in Surrey. Initially on a 2 month fixed-term-contract, this is a hands‑on role supporting the build and assembly of the company's pioneering, clean‑technology product.

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components in line with detailed engineering instructions
• Support production builds and assist with kitting parts for assembly
• Maintain high quality standards, ensuring component traceability and minimal rework
• Diagnose and resolve assembly issues to keep production on schedule
• Accurately record assembly processes, including any deviations or modifications
• Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace

• Background in mechanical and/or electrical assembly
• Ideally experience within automotive (or similar sectors such as aerospace, motor sport, or commercial vehicles) - not essential
• Alternatively, a vehicle technician background would be considered
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (2D/3D) and assembly instructions
• Strong hands‑on skills with good fault‑finding and diagnostic ability
• Awareness of health & safety and use of PPE

• Electrical harnessing experience (LV/HV)
• Experience with in a production or prototype assembly environment
• Forklift licence
