Marketing Assistant

Position: Marketing Assistant (Permanent)
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Marketing Assistant to join a dynamic team in Guildford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a minimum of two years’ marketing experience in an office environment who takes pride in producing high-quality, error-free work.

The Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will support a wide range of marketing, sales, and business development activities. This includes assisting with marketing campaigns, social media, digital marketing, website management, events, and design work. You will also gain a broad understanding of the business and contribute to ensuring all marketing activity is aligned with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the planning, development, and delivery of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, advertising, and promotional materials.

* Support social media activity by creating and scheduling posts.

* Contribute to design work and video editing using tools such as Adobe InDesign.

* Maintain and develop the company website, ensuring content is accurate and up to date, and assist with SEO and analytics.

* Support the organisation and delivery of company events.

* Provide general business and administrative support, maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Undertake training and personal development to continually enhance skills and knowledge.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Minimum of two years’ experience in a marketing-related role within an office environment.

* Excellent attention to detail with strong grammar and spelling skills.

* Intermediate IT proficiency:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; basic knowledge of CMS, Google Analytics, and SEO.

* Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.

* Effective verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

* Experience with Adobe InDesign and other design tools.

* Previous experience in organising events.

* Knowledge of marketing and communications principles.
