Join our TeamThe Scientist I (Imaging Assay Development) plays a key role in designing, optimising and validating immunofluorescence and FISH-based assays. This is a hands‑on, technically rich role, working across the full assay lifecycle in a regulated setting, collaborating closely with molecular scientists and bioinformaticians.
Principal Accountabilities- Design, optimise, and validate IF and FISH imaging assays
- Develop multiplex staining protocols and signal amplification strategies
- Operate and maintain fluorescence microscopy and imaging platforms
- Undertake additional ad hoc activities as required
- MSc or PhD in Biomedical Sciences or related field
- 1–2 years’ experience in imaging assay development
- Strong hands‑on expertise in immunofluorescence and/or FISH
- An eye for detail and commitment to high quality data
- A flexible, can‑do approach to the requirements of the job
Due to the nature of the role, our requirement is for this position to be Guildford‑based, office hours, five days per week.
