Head Chef - Catering

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to run a small, daytime café within a contract catering site. This is a hands‑on role, perfect for a chef who enjoys autonomy, work–life balance, and delivering quality food in a calm, weekday-only environment.

Key Responsibilities of Head chef:

• Full responsibility for the daily operation of a small café (working alone)
• Preparing and serving fresh breakfasts and lunches
• Menu planning within agreed budgets and client expectations
• Ordering, stock control, and minimising waste
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
• Delivering friendly, consistent service to regular customers
• Managing all kitchen paperwork (HACCP, allergen compliance, etc.)

About you:

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
• Comfortable working independently as a one‑person team
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills
• Passion for fresh, simple, well‑executed food
• Solid knowledge of food safety and allergen legislation
• Reliable, professional, and customer‑focused
