Ergomed Group is a leading Clinical Research Organization that partners with biopharmaceutical companies to develop, deliver, and safeguard therapies in oncology, rare diseases, and other complex areas of medicine. The Business Development Director will play a key role in driving the growth of the business in the UK by expanding relationships with clients and identifying new market opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate, coordinate, and develop strategic plans and sales strategies within the specified territory.
  • Develop account strategies and implementation plans to expand through existing accounts.
  • Identify new markets and research new business opportunities, and pinpoint likely sales points within the territory.
  • Collect critical information for proposal preparation and provide detailed input and leadership of the proposal process for each opportunity.
  • Prepare and organize sponsor presentations.
  • Facilitate the preparedness of the team for any client meetings, such as Capabilities meetings or Bid Defence Meetings (BDM).
  • Coordinate and monitor budget or contract negotiations post‑award within the territory.
  • Interact with operations to track study status for projects with sponsors and coordinate change orders when notified of scope changes by operations.
  • Establish and maintain regular contact and an excellent rapport with current and prospective clients.
  • Monitor and track competitor CRO activities.
  • Plan and attend major industrial events and trade shows.
Qualifications
  • Considerable CRO sales experience with strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Established network of decision makers within Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies and a proven track record of securing profitable service contracts.
  • Awareness of trends, government policies, and regulations in the clinical trials area of the Ergomed Group countries.
  • Excellent communication skills and team leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence and drive multiple stakeholders toward meeting customer needs.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to convincingly present features and benefits of services to clients.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills, with a predisposition to entrepreneurship, results, and customer focus.
  • Ability to travel according to the needs of the business development strategy.
