About The Role

Our supported housing service in Guilford is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high‑quality housing services, support and resettlement. The Relief Support Worker will work with people who have recently experienced homelessness and who need support and accommodation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Getting to know and building the trust of our clients
  • Unlocking clients’ potential to live independently
  • Enhancing social integration by encouraging participation in social and leisure programmes
  • Helping residents with their support needs and with the practicalities of everyday living
  • Shifts will mainly be 8am to 4pm or 3pm to 11pm, with sleep‑in until 8am the next day

Required qualities and experience:

  • Be a confident and capable communicator
  • Be able to build trusting, professional relationships
  • Be able to help people develop their skills, strengths and talents
  • Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and or supporting vulnerable people or groups
  • Ideally participate in our on‑call rota as required, when engaged
