We are looking to recruit a youth counsellor to our short-term counselling service for young people aged 12-24. The service works across the West Surrey and North East Hampshire area, covering 4 CCG’s. The successful candidates will develop and provide a counselling service for young people aged 12-24 in GP practices, schools, colleges and other youth settings.

Main duties of the job

To develop and provide a counselling service for young people aged 12-24 in GP practices, schools, colleges and other youth settings.

This includes:

• Working as a specialist Counsellor with a vulnerable client group, with a clinical responsibility for their welfare.
• Giving specialist advice across 4 CCG’s and other organisations.
• Contributing to strategy development regarding young people and mental health.
• Clinical responsibility for managing a client case load.
