Build Engineer

As an experienced programmer at Hello Games, you’ll play a key role in developing innovative, meaningful and technically exciting games enjoyed by a diverse audience of millions. We’re always looking for great engineers to join our team and help us build something new and surprising. You should have familiarity with all phases of game development, be self-directed, and enjoy being part of the craft of making games, as well as enjoy solving big technical problems.

• Managing, optimising and developing features for distributed CI build systems
• Keeping build process working smoothly
• Efficient communication of build issues to team through tools such as Slack integrations
• Management of code compilation across multiple platforms
• Detailed knowledge of source control
• Setting up and maintaining build and networking hardware
• Some involvement with implementing/improving artist tools, plugins, asset pipeline

• Prior industry experience with 4+ years of professional build engineer experience
• Experience of deployment over multiple platforms
• Good knowledge and experience of working with Jenkins and Docker
• Demonstrated ability to drive work to completion
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to work closely with a team of peers and collaborate effectively to deliver improvements
• Able work autonomously, identifying key priorities
• Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances
• Working knowledge of Python and C# an advantage
