Software Engineer, AI Engineer, Machine Learning​/ ML Engineer

We're partnering with an award-winning cleantech business, transforming the bioenergy sector using advanced data science and AI.

As the platform scales, they're hiring a Software Developer to help build and evolve their next-generation systems across backend infrastructure, cloud environments, and AI-driven modelling pipelines.

• Design and build scalable backend APIs and services in Python using Django
• Develop and maintain asynchronous task pipelines using Celery and Redis to support high-throughput workflows.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) and maintain CI/CD pipelines via Git Hub or Git Lab Actions.
• Build and iterate on frontend interfaces using React, Vue, or Next.js within a single-page application architecture.
• Integrate AI/ML models built with Sci Py, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Tensor Flow into production systems.

• Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Git Hub / Git Lab Actions
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Familiarity with asynchronous systems and task queue architectures.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

• Interest or experience in AI/ML or scientific computing.
• Exposure to the bioenergy, clean technology, or sustainability sectors.
• Experience in early-stage or scale-up technology environments.
