Strength and Conditioning Coach (Student Placement)

A Student Placement Opportunity for a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Surrey Sports Park. The successful candidate will support the Lead S&C Coach with session planning, delivery, and administration across Team Surrey, TASS and Dual Career athletes.

• Manage assigned athlete caseload under supervision.
• Plan, deliver and adjust training programmes.
• Collaborate with sports therapists, S&C coaches and the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to share assessments and rehabilitation plans.
• Communicate athletes’ progress and loading strategies with the MDT and the Lead S&C Coach.
• Maintain athlete and data records through approved technology platforms.
• Participate in weekly performance team meetings to review exercises, discuss injuries and propose improvements.
• Work flexibly, with late evenings and early mornings during the athletic season.
• Develop coaching and communication skills for a professional S&C environment.

• Current enrolment in a relevant university programme (e.g., Sports Science, Exercise Physiology).
• Strong interest in athlete development and performance coaching.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Willingness to attend late or early sessions during peak periods.
• Ability to work independently while seeking guidance from the Lead S&C Coach.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
