We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to support quality initiatives within our manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with industry standards and contributes to maintaining and improving the organization’s Quality Management System to drive customer satisfaction and product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily audits of departmental processes and documentation in line with QA procedures.
- Manage supplier quality activities, including handling rejections, SCARs, and conducting onsite audits as needed.
- Support machine validation and qualification activities.
- Develop and improve process documentation to strengthen quality initiatives.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct real-time inspections of products, processes, and systems; assist with daily quality checks as required.
- Prepare written reports and analysis as necessary.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts across the facility and corporate level.
- Monitor and report on new industry, quality, OSHA, IATA, or other relevant standards.
- Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and company procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- BS/BA in engineering, science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficient in computer applications (spreadsheets, word processing); experience with SPC tools/software is a plus.
- Familiarity with quality management concepts (ASQC certification preferred or willingness to pursue).
- Knowledge of printing processes is ideal but not required.
- Ability to interpret and implement customer specifications and requirements.
- Strong visual acuity and color discrimination.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis.
- Ability to anticipate potential issues and consequences of actions.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
