Overview
We’re working with an independent PRU in Middlesbrough and are looking for a classroom lead to join their team on a long-term basis. This role involves working with students who have been excluded from mainstream education, supporting their learning, engagement and behaviour in a smaller, more supportive setting.
The role- Long-term position
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am to 2:30pm
- Leading and supporting small groups of pupils
- Working with students who may display challenging behaviour
- Creating a calm, structured learning environment
- Is confident leading a class or small groups
- Has experience with young people, education, PRU or alternative provision (desirable)
- Is patient, resilient and consistent
- Is interested in developing a career in teaching or alternative education
