Finance Manager

Finance Manager Leeds Up to £50,000 DOE Fully office based

This is a broad, hands‑on Finance Manager role for a £10m turnover logistics business going through steady growth. You'll take ownership of the full finance function, support the leadership team with day‑to‑day commercial insight, and manage one direct report.

It would suit someone who enjoys being close to the operation, likes autonomy, and is comfortable rolling their sleeves up in a fast‑moving SME environment.

• Managing the day‑to‑day finance function
• Producing monthly management accounts
• Cashflow forecasting and cash management
• Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll
• VAT returns and statutory reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Liaising with external accountants and auditors
• Improving processes and controls where needed
• Managing and developing one member of staff
• Working closely with the senior leadership team on operational and commercial matters

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role within an SME
• Comfortable managing the full finance function end‑to‑end
• Strong management accounts and cashflow experience
• Practical, hands‑on approach
• Confident working in a fast‑paced operational business
• Logistics, transport or distribution experience would help, but isn't essential
• Qualified, part‑qualified or qualified by experience backgrounds will all be considered
