Full‑time (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) at Singing River Orthopedics Clinic – Gulfport, MS.

Position Overview
The Physician Assistant works under the supervision of a physician to deliver comprehensive health care. Responsibilities include clinical management, patient assessments, providing education to staff and patients, and any other duties assigned.
Professional Protocol
The PA follows a board‑approved protocol mutually agreed with the supervising physician. Each protocol outlines diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and specifies drug categories to be ordered, administered, or prescribed.
Education and Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs).
- Licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure.
- NCCPA certification required.
- BCLS certification required upon hire and/or transfer.
Experience
Minimum 2 years as a Physician Assistant, preferably in an acute‑care hospital or physician‑owned clinic setting.
Physical Demands
- Moderate activity, frequent movement, occasional lifting or carrying, travel within the SRHS service area.
- Repetitive motions with computer use.
- Ability to maintain activity for extended periods without undue fatigue.
Mental Demands
- Demonstrated decision‑making, strong written and verbal communication, emotional stability, pressure tolerance, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Special Demands
- Superior customer‑service skills and professional etiquette.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Outlook, Word).
- Clinical judgment applied to a population of all ages; thorough knowledge of advanced nursing and primary‑care principles, pathophysiology, pharmacology, nutrition, disease management, and health maintenance.
Schedule
- Full‑time, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
- Weekend and holiday call rotation where applicable.
