Job Summary:

Performs pharmaceutical dispensing duties. Assists the pharmacist in providing prescribed pharmaceuticals for the designated Oncology patient population. Maintains equipment of the area. Monitors, orders, and stocks supplies.

Required Qualifications:

Education
:
High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure
:
Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Mississippi. Must be certified as a CPhT by successful completion of the PTCB or ExCPT exam. Must be chemotherapy certified or complete certification within 180 days of hire.

Experience
: 1 year experience in a medical pharmaceutical setting.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Knowledge of medical abbreviations, drug strengths, IV solutions, drug generic and brand names, and basic pharmacy operations. Good organizational skills and basic math skills. Must work well independently and as part of a team. Must have knowledge and skills to operate a computer.
