Position: Planning Specialist (MCPIC) - MCPP

Program Summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. K  provides maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Job Summary

Planning Specialist (MCPIC) – MCPP. As a Planning Specialist you will utilize various Advanced Integration Technology (AIT) systems to analyze and identify discrepancies on Spread load from the prepositioning planning module and Ship specific iPACK UDL. You will serve as a liaison between the K  Commodities and the Blount Command (BIC) in matters concerning the spread load plans and iPACK data for each type of vessel.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, measure, analyze, and document Marine Corps Prepositioning Information Center (MCPIC) data to ensure equipment readiness for customer delivery.
  • Conduct internal quality audits to verify that IPACK equipment lists and MMC products align with detailed ship plans provided by the customer.
  • Ensure all section inputs adhere to standards outlined in Marine Corps Bulletin (MCBUL) 3162 Data Standard.
  • Submit and track changes related to spread load adjustments as identified.
  • Maintain and monitor database input of iPACK UDL from all production sections.
  • Analyze defect trends and recommend corrective actions or process improvements as appropriate.
  • Follow all ISO-9001 policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback and assistance to production sections as needed.
  • Coordinate and deliver training to employees on IPACK via MCPIC.
  • Collaborate with K  management to train staff in problem‑solving techniques and tools aimed at improving customer satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to maintain an SF-85 NACI and obtain a U.S. Government Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Minimum 5 years of directly related experience in USMC Quality Control and/or MCPP Plans and Data Management.
  • Strong working knowledge of MCPIC, including IPRIME Applications and Global Applications.
  • Completion of formal training in the application of iPACK.
  • Proficient in MCPIC 2.0 principles, procedures, and equipment, with ability to instruct others.
  • Thorough understanding of Maritime Prepositioning Force Operations.
  • Proficiency in commercial software applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and statistical tools).
  • Ability to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ISO familiarization.
  • Familiar with Six Sigma or other process improvement methods.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access.
  • Global Combat Support System (GCSS) experience.
