Mortgage Field Services Inspector – FAR INSPECTIONS

FAR Inspections is seeking independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications for mortgage lenders in Nevada. The role offers a predictable full‑time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule, and no prior field inspection experience is required.

The inspections verify that a property is occupied and report on the general condition using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only, and about 10 % require interior photos after a property has gone vacant.

Inspectors will work at the county level. In high‑volume counties your territory may be shared with one other inspector; otherwise, you will complete all inspections in your assigned county.

• Complete exterior inspections in 5–6 minutes.
• Finish each inspection within four days of assignment.
• Record property conditions, take nine or more photos, and submit a short form via a mobile app.
• Travel extensively, making multiple stops during the day.

• Personal computer with internet access.
• Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage preferred; gas paid by you).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Valid driver’s license and successful background check.

This is a 1099 contractor position. Compensation is a flat rate per inspection, which averages $30–$40 per hour
. Depending on the county and volume you could complete 20–500 inspections per month, working 2–30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties pay higher rates, and higher‑volume counties pay lower rates.

No mileage reimbursement is provided beyond the flat fee per inspection.
