Base Pay Range

$22.00/hr - $32.00/hr

Vision Center Manager responsible for overseeing operations, sales, merchandising and staff in Walmart’s Vision Center.

• Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signage, and optimal inventory levels.
• Provide direction and guidance to Associates on customer/member service approaches and techniques to resolve complaints and issues within company guidelines.
• Oversee community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as community members.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, analyzing reports, monitoring asset protection and safety controls, conducting safety, operational and quality assurance reviews.
• Create action plans to improve performance and support company programs and strategic initiatives.
• Supervise and develop Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
• Consult with and educate Members/Customers, select products based on needs, obtain measurements, verify prescriptions, maintain confidential information, perform minor frame repairs and maintain optical equipment.
• Uphold the Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies and procedures, and suggesting resolutions.
• Coordinate job‑related activities and assignments, build relationships with stakeholders, support plans and initiatives, communicate goals, measure progress, identify improvement opportunities and promote continuous learning.

• Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

• Experience supervising Associates.
