Summary:

The Associate Manager / Manager – Education Consulting mentors and guides high-achieving high school students through their study-abroad journey, helping them craft compelling profiles and achieve admission into top global universities, including Ivy League institutions. They combine strategic thinking, personalized guidance, and creativity to maximize student outcomes.

A key focus of the role is profile development and admissions strategy. You will conduct in-depth evaluations of each student’s strengths and opportunities, provide actionable recommendations, and design strategies that make their applications stand out. This includes advising on subject selection, standardized testing, essays, extracurriculars, and independent projects.

The role also involves roadmap planning and project ideation, guiding students through unique, interdisciplinary initiatives that showcase their interests, skills, and potential impact. You will monitor student progress closely, conduct milestone assessments, and implement corrective measures to ensure academic, personal, and extracurricular growth.

Additionally, this position emphasizes impact tracking and stakeholder management. You will ensure students and parents experience a smooth, structured, and results-driven process, while tracking key metrics such as student engagement, project execution, and application success.

Lastly, the role involves contribution to a mentorship-driven team environment, collaborating with peers, supporting junior consultants, and fostering a culture of growth, resilience, and excellence during the intensive college application season.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Knowledge of study abroad - Processing and communicating Athena’s study abroad Consulting process effectively - College List, Essays, Recommendations, Interviews, etc.

- Profile development strategy/ ATS by having deep know-how of what it takes to build a differentiated profile to gain admission into Ivy League colleges, compose complete ATS independently.

- Strategic planning of a student’s profile to maximize chances of admission to Ivy League colleges. Build a deep know-how of what it takes to build a differentiated profile to gain admission.

- Help a student identify their life vision and develop a detailed plan for them to work towards it.

- Recommend best subject selection and strategic academic/standardized testing decisions to ensure students’ future success.

- Develop creative, and unique profile strategies that exhibit a student’s unique brand.

- Ideate independent projects that will help the student build their profile.

- Guiding the students through the implementation of creative projects - ranging from the sciences and social sciences to the arts and humanities.
