Role Overview
The Vice Principal supports the Principal in providing academic leadership, operational efficiency, and a positive school culture. The role ensures high standards of teaching–learning, student discipline, staff performance, and parent engagement while driving continuous school improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
Support implementation of curriculum as per board guidelines
Monitor lesson planning, classroom delivery, and assessments
Guide teachers on pedagogy, classroom management, and best practices
Lead academic reviews, exams, results analysis, and improvement plans
Staff Management
Supervise teaching and non-teaching staff
Support recruitment, induction, mentoring, and performance appraisals
Conduct regular classroom observations and feedback sessions
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented culture
Student Management
Oversee student discipline, attendance, and wellbeing
Address academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and child-centric environment
Support student leadership programs and co-curricular activities
Parent & Stakeholder Engagement
Handle parent interactions, grievances, and feedback professionally
Support PTMs, orientations, and school events
Act as a bridge between management, staff, parents, and students
Operations & Compliance
Assist in school administration and daily operations
Ensure compliance with board, statutory, and safety norms
Support timetable planning, substitutions, and academic calendars
Step in as Acting Principal in the absence of the Principal
Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate degree with  

B.Ed / M.Ed (mandatory)
Minimum  8–12 years  of teaching experience
At least  3–5 years  in a leadership role (HOD / Coordinator / VP)
Strong understanding of school boards, NEP, and assessment practices
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
Academic planning, data analysis, and reporting
Empathy, integrity, and high emotional intelligence
Proficient in school ERP / MS Office
