Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Design Teacher. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality design instruction (Digital Design, Product Design, or both) that nurtures creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will inspire students to apply design thinking, technology, and practical skills to real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver inquiry-based design lessons in alignment with the IB MYP framework.
- Guide students through the design cycle:
Inquiring & Analyzing, Developing Ideas, Creating Solutions, and Evaluating.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and innovation through hands-on projects.
- Integrate digital tools, software, and emerging technologies into design learning.
- Develop and assess both formative and summative tasks based on IB MYP assessment criteria.
- Support students in creating portfolios that showcase their design processes and solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary planning and school-wide projects.
- Contribute to exhibitions, showcases, and design-related school initiatives.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and ensure inclusion.
- Participate in professional development, including IB training workshops.
- Adhere to school policies on academic integrity, safety, and safeguarding.

Qualifications and

Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Technology, Engineering, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certified teacher with at least 2 years of IB MYP or equivalent teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the design cycle and design thinking methodology.

- Experience with digital tools, CAD software, and/or product design techniques.
- Ability to integrate technology and real-world applications into the curriculum.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
