The Role:

International student recruitment advisor sits within the Recruitment, Outreach and Admissions team and holds responsibility for the planning and implementation of effective recruitment strategies to grow student numbers, in line with the University’s strategic plan on international recruitment. The role holder will make a key contribution to growing the university’s income through international student enrolments, engaging with multiple recruitment channels, stakeholders, and capitalizing on business development opportunities.
Working closely with the University’s Recruitment Manager in South Asia, and the role holder will help to set and achieve challenging recruitment targets for India and will be responsible for developing and delivering the associated recruitment strategy and tactics. In addition, the post holder will also work closely with marketing colleagues to assist with profile-raising and publicity activity for the region;

be responsible for budget management; and co-ordinate in-country visits for academic and professional services colleagues as appropriate.

Key responsibilities:

· Support the execution of India recruitment market plans to help achieve student enrolment and revenue targets.

· Carry out day-to-day recruitment activities such as attending school/college visits, agency meetings, education fairs, and student events.

· Build and maintain smooth working relationships with education agents, school counsellors, and other local stakeholders.

· Represent the university at exhibitions and recruitment events, providing accurate guidance to prospective students and offer-holders on courses, entry requirements and application processes.

· Assist in implementing recruitment and admissions processes in coordination with internal university teams.

· Support event planning for offer-holder briefings, pre-departure events, agent workshops and online webinars by coordinating logistics, invitations, and on-ground execution.

· Help deliver promotional campaigns, including sharing scholarship information and distributing marketing materials.

· Conduct basic market research by gathering counsellor contact details, competitor data and relevant India market insights.

· Assist in preparing inputs for annual business cases, budgets, and planning documents as required.

· Track day-to-day expenditure in line with allocated budgets and ensure spending aligns with expected outcomes.

· Make outbound calls to prospects and follow up with applicants to support their conversion journey.

· Work with the conversion team on virtual pre-departure and engagement activities.

· Respond to individual student and partner queries promptly and professionally.

· Provide support to wider international team members when needed, including covering virtual events or outreach tasks.

· Keep the CRM fully updated with all prospects, applicant, school, and agent interactions, ensuring data accuracy at all times.
