Position Summary
The College Counselor will be responsible for providing psychological and emotional guidance to students to promote their overall well-being, academic success, and personal growth.
To create a supportive environment where students can discuss personal challenges, and mental health concerns in a confidential and empathetic manner.
Key Responsibilities
Student Counselling Support
Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students dealing with academic stress, emotional challenges, anxiety, or interpersonal issues.
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all counseling interactions.
Identify students at risk and provide timely intervention or referrals to mental health professionals when necessary.
Promote self-awareness, coping strategies, and resilience among Students.
Organize talks workshops and awareness programs on Mental Health
Plan and conduct workshops on topics such as stress management, time management, emotional intelligence, positive mental health, and relationships.
Coordinate wellness programs, peer support initiatives and campaigns during mental health awareness weeks.
Diligent Record Keeping & Reporting.
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s Degree in Psychology / Counseling /(specialization in Clinical, Counseling, or Educational Psychology preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years of counseling experience, preferably in an educational setting.
Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental approach.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
Good organizational and facilitation skills for group sessions/workshops.
