PURPOSE/SUMMARY

Global Workforce Analytics and Planning is one of the key pillars within HR Transformation and Services mainly responsible for managing workforce analytics and planning globally. The purpose of the role is to act as technical analytics and data expert to HR and the business. Proactively developing insights which deliver business value, providing robust, outcome-focused analyses and the implementation of scalable products that enhance data-driven decision-making.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Workforce Analytics

- Work on significant and unique issues where analysis of business situations or people data requires an evaluation of intangible variables and may impact future concepts, products or technologies.
- Identify the optimal sets of data, models, training, and testing techniques required for successful solution delivery on workforce analytics.
- Support workforce planning, forecasting, and talent analytics initiatives.
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in workforce data to provide insights and recommendations to HR and business leaders.
- Prepare and deliver regular and ad-hoc HR analytics reports for leadership and executives.
- Translate data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

Collaboration and Tech Expertise

- Work collaboratively with the broader HR function and business to enable them to effectively utilize workforce insights to drive higher workforce performance. Adding business value with comprehensive data on turnover, employee demographics, ability to make data supported decisions globally, etc.
- Act as subject matter expert for all HR planning and analytics, partnering closely with senior HR and business leaders to understand their business challenges and develop appropriate analytics solutions.
- Communicate complex findings and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, presentations, and reports.
- Collaborate with IT and HR system administrators to optimize HR technology and reporting tools.

Analytics And Technology

- Develop and maintain internal R packages tailored for HR analytics, including wrappers for Snowflake queries, data validation, and standardized transformations. Build modular, extensible functions that simplify common tasks such as report generation, data enrichment, and metric calculation. Ensure robust documentation, versioning, and testing for all R package components.
- Provide a robust R foundation that enables teams to develop and deploy advanced analytics solutions using Shiny, Quarto, and other R frameworks. Build helper functions, data loaders, and environment presets to make advanced modelling workflows easier and more reproducible. Support analysts and data scientists with tooling for visualization, simulation, and predictive analytics.
- Support to design, develop, and maintain ingestion pipelines in Snowflake using API endpoints and bulk uploads (CSV and similar formats). Apply best-practice testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and data-quality validation checks. Implement automated data quality rules, anomaly detection, and integrity checks. Ensure robust documentation and version control for all pipeline components.
- Handle sensitive HR data with strict adherence to data privacy, security standards, and access controls. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of HR data. Take ownership of identified data quality issues and present them to the Data Quality Council for resolution.

Experience & Qualification

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience

- At least 2 years of relevant working experience, ideally in workforce/HR/people analytics or any other business analytics area.
- Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Multi-tasking and operating effectively in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking, with a strong attention to detail.
- Working collaboratively in a matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, who showcases credibility and excels in a collaborative setting.

Skills

- Leverage strong proficiency in R and SQL to deliver robust solutions for data extraction, transformation, and advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and HR KPIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Japanese language would be added advantage.
