Profile
Summary:
Individual will support the organisation’s privacy compliance activities by assisting in day-to-day privacy operations, documentation, assessments, and stakeholder coordination. The role involves working closely with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and audit Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).
- Assist in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Privacy Risk Assessments.
- Review privacy related contractual documents such as DPAs, MSAs, and EU SCCs, etc.
- Handle Data Subject Requests (DSRs) end-to-end, including tracking and timely responses.
- Support personal data breach management, including incident documentation and coordination.
- Conduct vendor due diligence from a data privacy perspective.
- Perform Privacy by Design (PbD) assessments for internal and client-facing applications.
- Draft, update and review privacy policies, notices, and consent related documents.
- Maintain trackers, registers, and compliance records.
- Draft training material Conduct and support data privacy awareness and training sessions.
- Track and share privacy law and regulatory updates relevant to the business.
- Respond to internal privacy related queries from business and support teams.
- Assist in the implementation of data protection laws and internal privacy controls.
- Coordinate with internal functions such as IT, Legal, HR, Security, and Operations on privacy matters.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Basic understanding of data protection and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, DPDPA, local privacy laws).
- Familiarity with privacy concepts such as ROPA, DPIA, DSRs, and data breaches.
- Ability to review documents and maintain compliance trackers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Privacy certifications, if any, (optional but preferred).
