Senior SEO Specialist & ORM Lead

Job Summary
KR Mangalam University is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist with strong Online Reputation Management (ORM) expertise who can also provide strategic leadership to the digital marketing team. The role requires a mix of hands-on execution, strategic planning, reputation management, and team mentoring to strengthen the university’s digital presence and brand credibility.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement advanced SEO strategies (on-page, off-page, technical, local & mobile SEO).
- Drive organic traffic growth, keyword rankings, and lead generation for university programs.
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, site audits, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with content, web, and design teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed.
Online Reputation Management (ORM)
- Monitor and manage the university’s online reputation across Google, social media, review platforms, and education portals.
- Develop strategies to improve ratings, reviews, and brand sentiment.
- Handle negative feedback professionally and proactively work on reputation recovery.
- Coordinate with PR, admissions, and student services teams for ORM initiatives.
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide strategic leadership to the digital marketing team (SEO, social media, content, performance marketing).
- Mentor, guide, and upskill team members; set KPIs and performance benchmarks.
- Act as a subject-matter expert and decision-maker for SEO & ORM initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between SEO, ORM, paid campaigns, social media, and content marketing.
Analytics, Reporting & Optimization
- Track performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, etc.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports for management.
- Use data insights to continuously improve digital strategies and ROI.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in SEO (technical, content, backlinks, local SEO)
- Proven experience in Online Reputation Management (ORM)
- Leadership and team-handling skills
- Analytical mindset with strong reporting and presentation skills
- Knowledge of digital marketing integration (SEO + PPC + Social + Content)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field
- 8–10+ years of experience in SEO & digital marketing
- Prior experience in education/university/edtech sector will be a plus
- Experience leading or mentoring a digital marketing team is mandatory
