Senior Postgresql Administrator

Location:

Gurgaon, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

Postgre

SQL & Aurora Postgre

SQL:

- Architect, administer, and support Postgre

SQL database environments
- Manage Aurora Postgre

SQL clusters, including monitoring and performance optimization
- Perform user and role management, access control, and security administration
- Execute database refresh activities (Production to non-production).
- Monitor and tune database performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues
- Manage backup, restore, and point-in-time recovery strategies
- Plan and execute Postgre

SQL upgrades and patching.

Oracle Database:

- Administer Oracle database architecture (Single Instance; RAC knowledge is an advantage)
- Perform Oracle user management, roles, and privilege administration
- Handle Oracle database refresh activities across multiple environments
- Perform Oracle database patching in all instances.
- Monitor Oracle database performance and resolve production issues
- Support backup and recovery operations using RMAN

AWS & Cloud Services:

- Work with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) for data replication and migrations
- Monitor database and infrastructure metrics using AWS Cloud Watch
- Support databases running on EC2 instances
- Collaborate with cloud, application, and Dev teams for database-related activities

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

- 5–8 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong expertise in Postgre

SQL and Oracle databases
- Experience managing Aurora Postgre

SQL in AWS
- Solid understanding of database architecture and internals
- Hands-on experience with user management, refresh activities, and production support
- Knowledge of AWS services: DMS, Cloud Watch, EC2
- Strong problem-solving and performance-tuning skills

- Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery
