Position: Instructional Designer with WalkMe Experience
Role Overview
The Digital Learning Developer is responsible for designing engaging eLearning solutions and building in-application guidance using Walk Me. This role combines instructional design expertise with digital adoption capabilities to deliver the right learning support—through structured courses, job aids, and contextual system guidance. The focus is on improving user performance, driving system adoption, and aligning learning assets across LMS and Walk Me platforms.

What You Will Do
eLearning Development

• Design and develop interactive eLearning modules using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, or similar.

• Translate business requirements into engaging, learner-centered digital content.

• Create storyboards, scripts, and multimedia assets aligned to adult learning principles.

• Ensure SCORM/xAPI compliance and LMS compatibility.

• Update and maintain existing learning content as systems and processes evolve.

Walk Me / Digital Adoption

• Design and build Walk Me solutions using the Walk Me Builder suite.

• Develop Smart Walk-Thrus, Smart Tips, Launchers, Shout Outs, and in-app guidance.

• Determine when to use Walk Me versus formal training, job aids, or system enhancements.

• Apply UX principles (progressive disclosure, minimal interruption, user control).

• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure solution accuracy and usability.

• Align Walk Me flows with training modules, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.

Collaboration & Optimization

• Partner with Learning, Quality, IT, and business SMEs to validate requirements.

• Conduct basic root cause analysis to identify learning or performance gaps.

• Monitor usage analytics and recommend improvements.

• Support deployments, updates, and user acceptance testing.

• Ensure alignment with brand standards and WCAG accessibility guidelines.

• Strong instructional design foundation and understanding of adult learning theory.

• Ability to simplify complex processes into clear learning experiences.

• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

• Analytical mindset to identify performance gaps and recommend solutions.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in an agile/iterative environment.

• Curiosity about technology and digital learning innovation.

Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of experience in eLearning development.

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience with Walk Me (or similar DAP tools).

• Experience creating SCORM-compliant courses for LMS platforms.

• Experience building Walk Me Smart Walk-Thrus, Smart Tips, Launchers, and Shout Outs.

• Basic understanding of Walk Me validation rules and error-prevention techniques.

• Familiarity with aligning in-app guidance with structured training programs.

• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS as applied within eLearning or Walk Me.

• Experience working in agile or fast-paced enterprise environments.
