About the Role

As an Engineering Manager specializing in software development on the Retail Digital Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of engineers in developing Digital Commerce portfolio. The Manager will work closely with the business leaders, understand short and long-term business goals, and collaborate on plans to achieve those goals by delivering leading-edge systems using best in-class SDLC and a highly motivated team.

Deliver the organizational goals aligning with the retail strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional engineering teams in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting systems that deliver a best-in-class digital customer experience.
Build and nurture high-performing teams by developing technical capabilities and leadership skills through coaching, mentoring, and a strong focus on accountability and ownership.
Design and implement scalable solutions that enhance usability, accessibility, and overall customer experience, leveraging internal and external APIs, databases, and integrated data sources.
Oversee planning, execution, and progress tracking of system architecture, development, deployment, and maintenance activities.
Establish and maintain strong, trusted relationships with business stakeholders at Manager and Director levels, while effectively managing vendor partnerships.
Coordinate internal and external teams to ensure seamless communication, alignment, and successful project delivery.

Required Skills
16–22 years of overall IT development experience, including at least 5 years building high-volume, customer-facing 24/7 web, mobile, or web service applications.
6-8 years of leadership experience within a technology organization, with a strong track record of delivering business capabilities and developing talent.
Experience leading teams working on Microservices, APIs-first, Cloud-native, using Java and Spring Boot.
Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Solid experience working within Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Adaptable mindset with the ability to thrive in evolving business and technology environments.
Demonstrates a strong work ethic with urgency, creativity, and efficiency in resolving issues.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Hands-on approach to leading software development.
